The Visionary Leader
"Whoever carries the vision, leads the way." ~Robyn's Dad
Your soul purpose: You're the way shower.
As a visionary leader, you have a clear vision of the future plus the ability to show others what's possible.
You often can see what others can't. Your imagination is vivid and you dwell in possibilities. Everything about you is wired to challenge the status quo, to ask "how can we?" rather than to find reasons to remain the same.
As a visionary leader, your main role is to imagine what's possible, decide what you want to do, to be or to have, and then to carry the vision for your organization, team, or practice. Without the vision, there's a good chance that you'll lose sight of your true north. Your job is to carry the vision, even when other people can't see it.
And yet, the hardest thing about being a visionary is that most people aren't going to be able to see what you see, or truly understand what's possible.
It's easy to doubt yourself when you're not getting the buy-in from the very stakeholders who you need in order to bring your vision to fruition.
In fact, a visionary who lacks confidence in her own vision - even when other people can't see it - caves in to false stories and the status quo.
A visionary leader's worst fear is that her vision will die in her heart.
The greatest gift you can give the world: First: Decide to believe in yourself and in your vision. Next: Commit to your vision. And then: Invest in the high level of support that will help you bring your vision to life with ease and grace. And then: hire someone to manage the details so you can stay focused on the big visionFinally: Take consistent, steady, enthusiastic action in the direction of your vision.
Think about it: How many times have you started something that you had great ideas for but the project ran out of gas because you:
couldn't carry though with all the details, or
you didn't get support, or
you were flooded with self-doubt when the people you shared your vision with didn't "get it" or
worse, gave you a litany of reasons it wouldn't or couldn't work?
To make sure that the highest version of your vision manifests, remember this: you're not meant to walk this road alone.
You'll want to surround yourself with trusted advisors and allies who understand your leadership style, who encourage you to fulfill your vision, and who can see around corners herself to help you avoid pitfalls, navigate challenges, and short-cut to the finish line - your vision IN REALITY. And finally, let this powerful truth sink in:
As a wayshower, you literally create the future. Part of your soul's contract is to bring heaven to earth.
Right now, there's no better investment than the one you make in yourself and in your powerful vision. In a time when the only thing that's certain is CHANGE, there's never been a better time to get yourself off the fence and make a powerful commitment to yourself and the beauty of your dream.
What's next?Congratulations! Now, you've got some new insight into your leadership style. Now, here are a couple of questions to ask yourself. How can I be honored for all I bring to the table? How can I bring people along to align with my vision, and take action to bring the vision to life? How can I be of high-service as I fulfill my purpose and calling?
