Waking Up
When you first wake up in the morning or get out of the car after a loooong ride, you might feel stiff and out of sorts. That doesn't mean you're doing something wrong, it just means you are waking up in the body and the mind works to catch up.
If you are in this stage:
-this might come from a particular event (death, trauma, near-death, loss) or from a slow burning desire to seek more for your life and you can't seem to turn that inner voice off -you might still be going through the motions of your life, but you are starting to see the possibilities of changing your circumstances -you start to see that you have a conscious choice for how you live your life -you start to feel that in order to change, YOU need to change
-you might not be ready to take action (yet!), but you are beginning to see that having taken responsibility for your own life, your choice and your experiences is the initial step to changing you life and how you live it
-you still feel a pull to your old ways and old paradigms that you know (go to school, get a job, save for a mortgage, get married, your value is in your production, etc;)
-You might still make your choices from a "safe", "practical" and "responsible" place BUT you are unable to totally ignore and silence the inner voice that battles with the practical/responsible old paradigm-you are starting to trust your outer world and your own intuition a little bit more but not enough to take into action (yet!) (i.e. you’re not ready to quit your job)
**Your Spiritual PSA**
Remember, this journey resides on a spectrum and each stage has various levels within. You might be very unwilling to evolve and stay asleep in the first stage, or you might be just at the edge of moving into the second level. We can also hover in between stages and move in and out of the edge each stage has. No matter where you end up in today, the goal isn’t to “get to” the other stages, rather it’s to be fully present and aware of your location on any given day.
