Here's a challenge for you. Don't look at your phone for the next minute. No problem? Okay, how about 30 minutes? A little harder right. Could you not check your phone for an entire day? Most people go crazy after not having their phone for a few hours, let alone a whole day.
Just think of the times when you break your phone or accidentally leave it at home, do you have a tiny freak out? You might not feel safe because what if something happens and you don't have your phone? How will you call someone? What if you get lost without Google maps? What if you miss an important call? What if you miss out on an opportunity because you didn't have your phone?
Phone addiction is a new thing and it's affecting most of the world in some way. The dangers of phone addiction are the same as other additions, plus neck pain, feelings of anxiety, being overstimulated, lack of focus, sleeplessness and not connecting with people in the real world.
Challenge yourself to disconnect for a couple hours a day. Sit outside and read a book instead of mindlessly scrolling through Instagram and Facebook on your phone.
