  Online Church (1-5 people)

  You prefer to worship in the comfort of your own home either by yourself or with a couple of people. You can be in your pj's, have a cup of coffee and never have to worry about forgetting to bring a pen. Online church has evolved so much over the years where now many campus actually have online pastors and communities that you can interact with. There are usually chat rooms and sometimes if it's a live stream the pastor will even talk to the people who are in chat! They try to make it feel genuine and like you are really at church. This is a great option for people who are away from home, recently moved to a new city, have limited time or can't physically go to church. Another great way to have online church is to have a couple of people gathered together in a home watching a message.You can watch along with a church during it's normal service time or you can play a sermon of your choosing. You can have a meal or snacks and fellowship together. You can talk about the message afterwards and have really meaningful discussions. This is a great way to really dig deep into the message and analyze and understand it afterwards. You can learn even more if you surround yourself with the right people. The best things about online church are being able to watch as much as you want, learn as much as you want, when you want. You can watch an entire sermon series if you want or pause it and do some research if there is something you don't understand. You can ask questions and really make sure that you are growing in your relationship with God, even if you have a busy schedule.

  Small Church (Less than 100 people)

  Small churches are great because they feel like family. You'll see the same people every week and over time build relationships. You'll get to enjoy live services each week and you'll actually know and spend time with the pastor. You might even have your regular spot that you sit in every week and are probably involved in the church in some way. There will be lots of potlucks after church and fundraisers to help pay for things. There is typically only one service or maybe two. Some churches will have a bible study early in the morning before church and then start worship and the sermon around 9 or 10. Then many times the members will go out to lunch together or they will have a potluck afterwards to fellowship. You'll probably end up serving in the church at some point in time. If someone gets sick or needs help you might be asked to help out. You can easily get involved in the church if you want to. If you want to act, you can be in a play. If you want to sing, they will let you sing a song of your choosing. If you want to preach you can probably even have a chance to preach. They are flexible and sometimes you can even ask questions in the middle of the service. It just depends but it's a lot easier to just jump in and do something cool where at a big church you might have to sign up and wait for someone to contact you.

  Big churches are great because you get hear a well written message, well rehearsed music and have multiple service times. The pastor is usually in the same building that you are even if you don't get to actually talk and spend time with him on a regular basis. The church organizes trips, fun activities for the kids, holiday productions and much more. They sometimes have special performances and get guest speakers to come and talk. They probably have a skilled choir or singers that practice on a regular basis. You can easily meet lots of different people and you will see familiar faces and if you get involved with the church. If you don't get involved then it's usually a bit harder to get to know people. Big churches usually have multiple service times you can choose from. It's great if you want to sleep in a bit or go early and have more time in the day. The multiple service times are are also great because you can go to the 10 am service and then serve at the noon services. You can get involved and still enjoy the message. There is probably a senior pastor who does most of the preaching and there is a chance you have only met the senior pastor a once or twice. They are busy people as they preach multiple sermons a each Sunday. If you want to spend a lot of time with your family and friends big churches are great because you can bring the whole family, there is usually a kids program for the kids so they aren't bored and a good message for the adults. They are great if you are inviting people to church because they try to keep things interesting while also trying to keep it personal.

  You should go to a Mega Church! There are lots of perks when you go to a mega church. One of the big ones is there are multiple campuses so you can still go to the church you want to even if you move to another part of the city or even sometimes to another state. Mega churches are usually present in large cities. The messages are usually really good and well put together. The pastors are charismatic and lots of people like them and can relate to them usually. They seem friendly and likable although you've probably never met them. Their videos can be found online if you miss a message so you can catch up on church any time. If you go to the main church, the biggest one, you'll get to see the pastor live. If not then usually you'll watch it on a large drop down screen, kinda like at the movies. The worship service is like a huge concert! There are special effects, lots of lighting, huge flat screens in the back, and different people every week singing and playing music. If you have always wanted to be a famous singer this is a great way to get that experience! You can sing for thousands or maybe even millions of people depending on the church. However, unless you are the song leader you will be put into a rotation because others want a chance too. One of the best ways to get to know people in a mega church is to join a small group or a ministry. You'll probably meet new people all the time. Most mega churches are usually very welcoming and friendly so they appeal to a lot of people. They encourage you to get involved so you can get the small church feel inside of large church. Another perk is that you'll probably feel a sense of community and realize that there are so many other people out there that believe the same as you and are going through similar struggles. It's amazing to experience so many people receiving the love of God. Sometimes it's just nice knowing that you aren't alone.
