FAST DRIVER Goal-Getter
You're a FAST DRIVER Goal-Getter
You’re awesome because: You set a goal and NOTHING gets in your way. Success comes easily to you because of this. You have no problem saying “no” to anyone or anything that gets in your goal-getting way.
Your drive, work ethic and laser-sharp focus are impressiveand because of it, you can often achieve big things, faster than others. You aren’t easily swayed from your path and aren’t afraid to work hard to achieve your goals. In fact, it’s necessary for you. You’re a dedicated go-getter who is willing to do what it takes to get what you want. Sometimes those all-nighters leave you tired or skipping (all the) workouts, but you’re a hustler who grinds your way to your goals, one at a time.
Watch out for:Sacrificing important relationships, health and fulfillment in the name of achievement. Beware of attaching all of your worth to achievement; when you work so hard to produce things, it can be hard to see who you are outside of doing things. Remember, you’re a human being, not a human doing.
Ready to level up? Here are a few suggestions:
Look at your goals and make sure they make you happy: both on the way to getting your goals, and once you’ve achieved them. Read this blog post to find ways to enjoy the goal-getting process even more.
Challenge yourself to something different and get uncomfortable. Ask yourself, what would be harder: to dream bigger or to do nothing. Then, for one week (or one month if you’re really ready), challenge yourself to dream bigger – or to do nothing. Use it as an experience to learn more about yourself, get uncomfortable and prime yourself for even more long-term success.
Balance may not exist every day, or even every week, but over the months and years, it’s important to ensure the life you’re creating has some balance and meaning outside of goals. Use this monthly reflection guide to check in and take the big-picture approach to your life. Take care of important relationships with family and friends, and most importantly, take care of yourself. You’re the vehicle to that fast-driving goal success, after all.
Get deep. Explore your relationship with “doing”, “producing” and “achieving”. Consider journaling, meditating, or having a soulful chat with a mentor, coach, friend or complete stranger over a beer. Ask yourself questions like:
Who am I if I’m not “doing”?
What is “success” for me? Why?
Where is my “hustle” serving me in my life?
Where is my “hustle” taking away from joy/happiness/fulfillment in my life?
