Your gift is Mercy
Spiritual gifts are a blessing from God and you can always show more than one type at any time. You seem to lean toward the gift of Mercy a little more than the others. Those with the gift of mercy are the supporters. You are the person many run to when they feel upset and need a genuine ear. You can be in a room full of people and be able to sit right next to the person who really needs a shoulder. You don’t have any ulterior motives; you are empathetic and non-judgmental. This is why people need you. You likely have a mixed bag of friends … the businessman, the rock-star, and the stay at home mom, just to name a few. Every one of them has an authentic bond with you. You may not be the one to find the solution, but you are the one to walk alongside someone in their problem. You are positive, happy, and inspiring to everyone around you. You are very in tune with other people, and their energy can sometimes be overwhelming. Your empathy runs so deep that if someone is going through a really difficult time it can halt you for days, even if it’s someone you barely know. You give more of yourself than you expect others to give to you. Quality time is the most important thing to you. If someone wants to get you something for your birthday you would rather have special moments than anything material. You often gauge your purpose in life by how much you are needed by other people. You crave that connection so you can be supportive. Unfortunately, this makes you vulnerable to others who may not have your best interest at heart. It’s important to equip yourself daily with the armor of God so you aren’t swayed by your own yearning for intimacy with others. His guidance will help you to distinguish who truly cares and who doesn’t. Your gift is a wonderful blessing to others and it’s so important to be shared among others. Even though you seem to lean toward this gift it’s important to remember that you are extremely unique. God made you for a purpose and there is only one you in the world. Your potential cannot be pigeonholed into one category, but certain characteristics you have can help you understand God’s purpose in your life.
