The Traditional Homeschooler
Your child is a Kinesthetic Learner!
Kinesthetic learners do best when they are allowed to be physically active. They are also called Hands-On learners. In every day life, it's important that kinesthetic learners are able to have outlets for their energy.
When learning, it's important to try to incorporate physical activities into the lessons. Make sure that your child is able to get up and walk around when trying new things. If you're studying a topic, try to find activities that you can allow your child to physically interpret what this would look like in action. For example, if you're learning about amphibians, include the option for your child to act out how each type of amphibian moves around in their environment.
Your child benefits most when they are moving around so avoid learning activities that require them to sit still for long periods of time. If sitting still is required, consider taking some breaks to jump around and get that excess energy taken care of!
