Your Mama Self-Care Style is: Meditator
Meditator self care style explained: Meditation is your ideal way to reconnect to yourself and feel like YOU. You love finding those moments of stillness to recharge your batteries and connect to your soul, spirit and heart. You love the insights that meditation can bring and how it helps quiet your mind. Tips to make the most of your Meditator self care style:While a lovely long meditation will always fill your cup, in the midst of mama life it’s not always possible. But the good news is, meditation doesn’t have to be long to have a big impact. Try these mindful moments to make the most of the little time you have:Use the transition moments in your day (hopping into the car, arriving home, bathroom breaks, before eating, after putting your little one down for sleep) to take a deep breath, let go of your thoughts and drop in to your body. Placing a gentle hand on your heart will help ground this practice.Think about heading along to a meditation or yoga class one evening or morning a week so that you’ll get your lovely time to connect and re-centre. Share meditation with your kids - this is a lovely thing to do to wind down together after school or before bed. Don’t get hung up on them being perfectly still or keeping their eyes shut, instead ask them to join you for some quiet time. They might like to draw, quietly play with toys, or move their body slowly with the meditation. You can show them how you like to practice and enjoy sharing this beautiful life skill with them. It will also help you practice finding your centre with different distractions happening around you! When you get time to yourself, make a short meditation the first thing you do. Here’s a lovely 5 minute gratitude meditation to press play on.
