Your superpower is... Support!
As a supportive leader, you are seen as a sincere leader who works to create a respectful, positive environment. You tend to use an empathetic, patient approach to leading others. What Does This Mean? You have a calm, modest, and laid-back approach. You are one of the team builders of the world as you typically focus on everyone else. You value cooperation, sincerity, and dependability. You tend to strike a respectful balance between tasks and people. You are known to be a humble leader who doesn’t like to be rushed in your work and tends to avoid change. You are reliable and stable with an emphasis on cooperating with whoever is in charge to carry out tasks. You aim to see all sides of the situation and create an inclusive atmosphere. You ensure tasks are completed and support others to complete their work. You are methodical, prefer routine, and lead teams to establish clear processes.Instead of large goal accomplishments, you tend to look for small improvements as wins and don’t make hasty decisions. Within your role as a leader, you tend to remain on task to ensure a meaningful contribution to the work. You prefer to collaborate with others to make decisions where everyone wins. You are typically seen as a great facilitator and guide but prefer to listen more than you talk. As a supportive leader, your line of questions focuses on understanding “how” things will happen. So, a question like: “How are we going to do this?' is important to you.Sometimes you can be seen as a passive, overly trusting leader who lets others take advantage of your supportive, patient nature. You may also have received feedback that you are indirect and conflict-averse, failing to hold others accountable. While there are lots of positive things to be said about being methodical, it can also be viewed as too slow, stuck on the status quo, stubborn, and indecisive.Areas of opportunity for this leadership style are: MultitaskingDecision makingConfronting othersAdapting to changeFocusing on the big pictureWant More Resources to Develop your Leadership Style?
