Your baby's sleep temperament is "Secure Sleeper."
Technically, there are two types of sleep temperaments for little ones: "Self-Settling" or "Signaling." "Self-Settlers" may learn to sleep well easily or sooner than other babies. It's just as common for babies to be "Signalers." These babies need patience and extra support to become ready for independent sleep and sleeping through the night.Your baby is a combination of temperament types (angelic, textbook, spirited, grumpy) but has a strong touchy or sensitive side. They are considered a "Secure Sleeper" because right now it may be difficult for them to sleep in a crib or another room alone, but we can teach them to feel secure and relax in a different sleep situation than they are used to. They may be sensitive to development, growth and teething periods, aka sleep regressions, causing sleep disruptions on a regular basis for weeks at a time, needing generous amounts of comfort and reassurance. Your baby may need more support than other babies do, but your efforts and care will contribute greatly to your child's health, development, and well-being. To help your baby sleep well as soon as possible, use my tear-free sleep methods, learn my powerful system for building security and trust, and always, always be responsive. Adjust your expectations and find ways to gain support for your own well-being. Rushing this process would not be wise. Using traditional sleep methods may worsen sleep, hurt your child's overall well-being, or prevent optimal development.Hey, there 🥰 My name is Meredith!I’m the founder of Sweet Slumber, a sleep coaching service.
