Brava my dear! You squeeze in an occasional manicure/pedicure for special occasions to look presentable for the event. You may even splurge once a year for a massage because it was gifted to you but sadly it is not your routine.Although you may feel too busy to take time out for anything else, it is important to do things that make you happy. Responsibilities have every second of your life locked down. Or maybe you don't think about self care as a necessary part of life because of what you learned growing up. Being a strong black woman who can handle anything at anytime with no down time is normal for you. Here are some tips to get you started!Self Care is more than just a trend. It's an essential part of living intentionally, reflecting on what matters most in your life, and taking time to be present in your body, mind, and spirit. Self care is not selfish. It is necessary for fulfilling relationships with others and for showing up as your authentic self at work.Treat yourself to the best version of yourself possible by practicing these simple self care practices each day:1. Start your day with self care - Wake up and do something that brings you joy every single day such as meditating or reading a book.2. Be mindful - Practice being mindful the rest of the day of all that you are grateful for and all the blessings you have in life. Even when things are tough or stressful, you can find gratitude for something each day.3.
