Intuitive Eating Newbie
You're disconnected from your inner intuitive eater and could do with some TLC and compassion. You find yourself drawn to food as it helps you cope with your emotions, especially when you're feeling sad, anxious, lonely or depressed. You are not familiar with the principles of intuitive eating, but are well acquainted with dieting trends and find yourself yo-yo dieting to some degree or another to try and deal with your emotions, change yourself or compensate for unwanted weight, either as a result of dieting or not. You don't give yourself unconditional permission to eat and your beliefs are founded on limitations diet culture as taught you over time. You have "good" foods that you're allowed and "bad" foods that you aren't, and when you break these rules you feel guilt and shame. You have a strained relationship with your body and feel the need to control it and it's shape, but you're curious about intuitive eating and leaving dieting behind.Check out the LFT blog and my social links for more tips and tricks on how to get past these obstacles!
