Mindfulness Sangha
Tuesdays 10:00 - 11:00 AM ESTAn experienced-based group, for both beginner and experienced meditators, that offers skillful guided meditations based on the 9 attitudes of mindfulness (beginner’s mind, acceptance, trust, letting go, patience, non-judgment, non-striving, generosity, and gratitude). To cultivate the healing power of mindfulness requires the practice of paying attention, in the present moment, without judgment and bringing a kind heart and patience to your practice. Neuroscience teaches us that mindfulness meditation can change the architecture of our brains and, through that, improve the health of our bodies. Each group will begin with guided sitting meditation, followed by a short check-in from each member and open time for sharing joys, difficulties, and questions about their meditation practice and how it is working (or not) in their daily lives. The opportunity to share our experience is where we develop the tools to meet both ordinary stress and extraordinary difficulties. The group then closes with a short sitting or loving-kindness meditation as a way to foster a greater sense of connection to each other and to the world. This offering will empower you to put your happiness in your own hands, and learn how to cultivate mindful awareness while becoming more compassionate with yourself and others. I hope you’ll join us!*chair/meditation cushion (if available to you).
