Your matching case study is Kiana!Kiana is in a school with an established coaching program. There are structures and frameworks in place for the coaching process that all coaches follow. Individually, Kiana has good habits of consistency and follow through. She knows it’s her responsibility to stay in touch with her coachees so she can help them achieve their goals. But, even with all this solid foundation, Kiana finds herself floundering in specific coaching conversations or situations. She is often overly reliant on following specific question prompts & unable to adapt in the moment. She finds that some coachees have started to “walk all over” her and she can’t seem to figure out how to pull it back. She is consistently having realizations that a coaching conversation did not go the way she planned, but she’s not sure why. During coaching conversations, Kiana is having trouble adapting in the moment because she hasn’t yet internalized the skills needed to understand the situation and respond. As a Standardizer, youconsistently communicate coaching services to potential coacheesprovide consistent services to coachees so that they know what to expect are persistent in following through & taking action on those processes so that coachees are supported.Common challenges Standardizers face are:Being able to recognize the needs of your coachee (or team) in the moment, and respond based on those needs.
