Stop working alone and start working collaboratively. Yes, you’ve got a lot to get done and the ability to make it happen. But, you don't have to do it alone! There are thousands of people just like you working around the world to launch autism services in their countries, and we can help you connect to them. (just read to #5 below!)2. Give yourself a break! You’re doing so much my friend! Take a day off and go for a walk in the woods or have a long chat with a friend. You’ll never achieve your dream if you burn out!3. Connect with any local doctors in your community who are diagnosing autism. From finding services, community, and support – families are looking for answers from the moment they receive a diagnosis, and YOU could be there for them. Find your local doctors who are diagnosing autism, and ask them where they send their patients after diagnosis. Ask them to share your card, your pamphlet, your phone number with families to ensure these families have connections when they need it most!4. Find your people and start asking questions! As a visionary, it's easy to focus on working and doing non-stop. We've found it's important to check in often with the people who hope to help – the families, students, teachers, and local leaders. Share your vision, ask for feedback, and try to find out what they need most from you. Even if you don’t agree with them, they’re sure to spark some innovation in you5.
