Use your talents to be make your message memorable and actionable. This is how you make the shift to thought leader.Keep reading for your customized plan to add to your Provocative Performer speaker type: 1. Share your insights and thought leadership. You know how to draw your audience in. Once you've captured their attention, you have an incredible opportunity to shift their thinking in a bigger way by sharing your expert insights and thought leadership message. This is how you make a bigger and bolder impact and deliver speeches that are transformational and game-changing. Try this: Connect your story and message to the bigger change you (and your audience) want to see. Share how and why your experience led to a shift in how you see yourself and the world and how your audience can do the same. 2. Add dialogue and audience interaction to your talks. You are such a great performer that it can be easy to let the bells & whistles do all the work of audience engagement. After all, your audience is nodding their heads, laughing, and dancing along the way. You should still create dialogue with the audience by intentionally asking them questions and getting them involved.Try this: After you perform a "bit," ask your audience how they can apply what they're learning. Get them to open up to you and each other.3. Leave your audience with a call to action. As a performer, you're an entertainer. To elevate yourself to a thought leader, you need to give your audience the next step they can do to take action on what you've shared with them.Try this: Towards the end of your talk, close by encouraging your audience look inward (reflect) and go outward (carry forward into the world). Don't be afraid to make an "ask" of the audience. After all, this is how you get closer to the better world you want to see!Hi👋, I’m Carol Cox!I’m the founder & CEO of Speaking Your Brand®, a coaching and training company that helps high-performing, purpose-driven women entrepreneurs and professionals (like you!) create their signature talks and thought leadership platforms.
