Your intuition archetype is... The Desert Healer
Woot woot — you did it, sweet one!So, what exactly is our intuition? Our intuition is our higher self. It knows the things that are thinking conscious brain doesn’t understand. All of us can connect to our intuition because we all have a higher self, a higher conscious soul. Connecting to our intuition requires practice. You can often recognize your intuition because it will not be a logical way of thinking. Just like your subconscious mind, your intuition will speak to you with just a few words that often don’t make sense. Getting into the practice of connecting to your intuition requires practice and creating a connection to your mind, body, and soul. HEY, IT'S AMY!So happy to meet you on this corner of the internet. I’m a big believer in taking care of our emotions and connecting to our bodies so we can be in greater alignment with our intuition. Just a few years ago, I decided to leave my 15-year career in retail because something was really off. I felt out of place, unsure of every step, was burnt out from overgiving and overdoing. I also spent most of my life as a people-pleaser. A part of me believed I wasn’t special enough to connect to my intuition or that I didn’t have” the gift.” Deep down, what I wanted was clarity. Clarity now! 🙂Over the last few years, I’ve learned that our bodies, minds, and emotions signal to us when we are out of alignment with our deepest needs and desires. When we give ourselves the time, space, and permission to go inward and release the stuff that no longer serves us, our intuition is on the other side. I founded my company, The Recreated, in 2020. I’m an emotional wellness and embodiment coach guiding people in midlife who desire to be in deeper alignment with themselves and have greater clarity so they can have wholehearted relationships, ongoing wellness, and fulfilling careers. I hope you gain value from the quiz results and the rituals supporting your journey. Desert Healer Rituals Somatic (Body)Many Desert Healers find their bodies need self-nurturance. Take a moment to connect to the body to see what it needs to feel supported. Start with taking a few deep breaths, cleansing old thoughts or emotions from the day. Begin to feel and sense the body. Is there something that needs to be acknowledged? Tension? Cold? Heat? Dryness? How can you offer support to that area of your body? Examples are rubbing your neck or feet, drinking warm tea or a cool beverage, or moisturizing your skin. Simple is good. After honoring your body’s needs, acknowledge that you listened, noting how it felt to support yourself. EmotionsTake a moment to journal and activate self-discovery with the questions below. Describe a time when you felt connected to your intuition. What was happening right before you felt that connection? Were there specific emotions that you felt? What was happening in your body? What gift can you give yourself that shows The Desert Healer you are listening? Bring this into your monthly new moon ritual.MindList all of the energetic drains in your life. These could be people, behaviors, beliefs, or places. Write all of them down. When you are finished, highlight three for which you want to create boundaries. Begin small and work your way up, and be sure to notice if the first step to creating the boundary has to do with setting the boundary with yourself. In the next few days, I’ll send a follow-up email with a meditation practice to strengthen your connection to your intuition.
