Your Style is… Mantra MeditationYou're creative, energetic, and full of bright ideas. Because you're a passionate, creative person Mantra Meditation will help you tap into your sense of divine devotion, and let all the other thoughts slip away.A mantra (meaning "mind vehicle") is a word, phrase, or syllable that's repeated silently in meditation. With a straight spine and your gaze fixed at the point between your eyebrows, repeat the mantra over and over again. Click here to learn more about which mantra to use. You've got a knack for words and communication is one of your superpowers. When you turn this power inward with mantra, you can enter into deep states of poise and relaxation. This style helps to still the monkey mind. Even if other thoughts arise during the mantra meditation, coming back to the mantra helps to still the waters.Mantras hold powerful spiritual energy, and if you can be devotional in your approach to the mantra, repeating with love in your heart… you might be amazed by the depth and beauty of the experience. Then if it starts wandering, make it quiet. If you reach the state where there is neither sleep nor movement of mind, stay still in that, the natural (real) state." — Ramana Maharshi✨ Ready. Set. Bliss. ✨Here Are 3 Powerful Ways to Establish Your Meditation Practice1. Pick your placeCreate a space in your home that's devoted to meditation. This doesn't have to be a huge space. Whether it's a corner of your living room or a rock in your garden… Pick a spot that's your meditation spot.Returning to your meditation spot again and again can help you to go deeper into meditation. It's also a signal that you've carved out a space in your life for meditation. It's said that meditating consistently in one space also builds up a spiritual energy in the area. Whether or not you can feel this shift in energy, claiming a space for your meditation can help you stay consistent, and gives your mind and body less external information to focus on what you sit down to meditate.2. Stretch it outThere's a reason the physical practice of yoga comes before meditation in ancient traditions (many reasons, in fact).Stretching or practicing yoga before you meditate makes it easier for you to maintain the stillness and long spine of a meditation posture. In addition to making a seated practice easier on the body… Yoga postures also prime the mind, body, and energy for meditation. You may have noticed that after practicing yoga you're literally in a different mental state. You're more grounded and naturally calm. If you can enter into this relaxed state before you begin meditating, you're likely going to go deeper into your meditation practice. 3. Find your comfortable seatJust as there are many styles of meditation, there are tons of ways to sit in meditation. By the way there are also meditation styles that aren't seated at all! Yep, you can try walking meditations, tree meditations, and even meditating while you go about other daily activities. While some meditation styles are more traditional in terms of seated posture, make it easy on yourself to keep showing up to your seat. Discover what works for you and your body. If a traditional lotus-seated posture is uncomfortable or makes your legs fall asleep, you may consider a meditation bench or sitting upright in a chair. ⭐ Bonus tip: If it's super loud where you live, consider getting noise cancelling headphones for meditation⭐Meditate With MeNamaste!
