Your child shows a preference for KINESTHETIC LEARNING!
WHAT THIS MEANSYour kinesthetic learner processes and understands information primarily through things they can do and experience like building things, experimenting and moving their bodies. WHAT ARE THEIR SUPERPOWERS?They tend to have a good understanding of body language and nonverbal cues. They have a keen sense of physical sensation and touch, and they can remember information based on physical cues that others may not sense. They excel in spatial awareness and can visualize and understand relationships between objects, people, or concepts in a physical space.WHAT DOESN'T WORK WELL FOR THEMSitting for extended periodsFeeling confinedTIPS TO HELP THEM LEARNOffer hands-on opportunities to interact with the information presented. This can be done through role-play, experiments, and interactive demonstrations.Stay away from learnings environments that are too passive. Allow your them to learn through trial and error, as they benefit from actively experimenting and exploring their environment. Ensure they can feel, handle, or experience things firsthand.SO WHAT'S NEXT?Now that you've learned how your child likes to best receive information, you can use that information to tailor their education and to help them excel!Remember: Even though one learning style may be more dominant, your child likely has a mix of learning preferences. So be sure to mix it up so that your child has an opportunity to experience different approaches to learning.Be sure to listen to the Homeschool Our Way Podcast each week and follow us on Instagram for tips on curriculum, learning options, and advice for families of color who are interested in getting started homeschooling!
