Your cause of acne is... Inflammation or infections
Woot woot, your results are in, friend! According to your responses, inflammation or infections may be playing a role in your acne. Inflammatory or infection-driven acne is often seen on the cheeks and forehead, but the back, shoulders, and chest are common, too. The skin typically appears more red and inflamed.Gut symptoms are often present because of infections such as H.pylori, parasites, or other pathogens in the gut that are not supposed to be there. This can mount an immune response and trigger inflammation.Additionally, inflammation caused by other factors, such as hormonal changes, stress, diet, and certain medications, can contribute to acne development. Hormonal fluctuations, especially during puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, or while taking oral contraceptives, can increase oil production in the skin and worsen inflammation.Suggested next steps:Consider comprehensive blood work and stool testing to understand the deeper imbalances that are driving possible inflammation or infections. {All information on this page is for educational purposes only and does not replace medical advice or diagnosis}Who I Am and How I Can Help YouHey there, and welcome — I'm Kate👋 I'm a Functional Dietitian who helps women heal their acne naturally by addressing why it's happening in the first place.
