Body Scan Exercise
A body scan helps you identify where you hold tension in your body, allowing you to release stress and relax your muscles effectively. How to Do It:Find a comfortable, quiet space where you can sit or lie down.Close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Focus your attention on the top of your head.Slowly work your way down through each part of your body: your forehead, jaw, neck, shoulders, arms, chest, stomach, hips, legs, and feet.As you move through each body part, notice any areas of tension. Gently encourage those areas to relax, imagining the tension melting away.Finish with your feet, imagining the tension flowing out and away from your body. Take a few deep breaths before opening your eyes.Tip: If a particular area feels very tense, pause and breathe into it for a few moments before moving on. This practice helps reduce both physical and mental stress.
